Personal Care
Personal Care
Have you noticed your loved one struggling with some basic tasks of daily living? Grooming, bathing, brushing their teeth, and even bathroom visits can become challenging as we age, and frail health or shaking hands can make some of these tasks difficult or dangerous.
The compassionate, professional team from CareFirst understands the delicate balance of helping your aging loved one with personal living tasks while preserving their dignity. We work with you and your family to create custom care plans for your loved one, giving them the assistance they need to be coupled with the independence that they desire.
Personal Care Services to Support Your Loved One
Aging in place is important to many seniors. They’ve made a home for themselves in their house and community. Many wish to preserve their independence while aging in familiar settings. As the year’s pass, however, retaining full independence can be challenging. The tailored personal care services from CareFirst cover a variety of senior needs. We also provide additional assistance and companionship and give them the quality care that they deserve.
We can help with activities such as:
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Nutritious meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping
- Grooming, bathing, and personal hygiene assistance
- Medication reminders, monitoring, and doctor’s orders compliance
- Shopping and errands
- Transfers and mobility assistance
Grooming and Hygiene Services
Keeping your loved one clean and healthy helps them feel better, both physically and emotionally. CareFirst caregivers provide showers or baths, shampooing hair, help trim fingernails, and gently cleaning delicate skin. We can even help clients who are bedridden remain clean, taking care to prevent bedsores.
ADL assistance from our caregivers is given with dignity and compassion, taking care to respect the privacy of those who are modest. We reduce the strain on families while boosting the health and wellness of our clients.
Your caregiver visits your loved one in their home, helping with grooming, dressing, and bathing in a two-hour session. We also help change bed linens and assist with laundry and light housekeeping in the sleeping area.
